Auschwitz concentration camp.

January 2020, four months already. Students in the First classes do a work of remembrance on the deportation of Spanish workers.

1. The project

"Imagine you're a young German teenager today."

A few instructions: choose an illustration of an object or situation from the archaeological excavations of various German concentration camps. Please write a paragraph in which you will express your reactions: how you feel, what you imagine about the daily lives of prisoners.

Your text will include about 50-60 words. Then you will translate your production into Spanish. Finally, you will present your Spanish-German work orally in a video recording.

2. Student's work

Seven students did this work of remembrance. Ethel, Iris, Victoire, Alexandre, Antoine, Arnaud and Radu first chose an illustration on different websites (the one in Mauthausen for example). Then they wrote their texts and let their feelings speak. Finally, the last step: record the video.

Among the objects chosen: a crest with a lorraine cross, combs found in the "blocks", cutlery, a wooden heart and a drawing by Bernard Aldebert (see above).

In previous years, students at the college had already worked German on video. Now it's the turn of high school students. The end result is both successful and very interesting. This is what we present in the video below:
