The discovery of theatre continues for our sixth-graders. After the Baroque Theatre of the Oghma Company, comes that of contemporary theatre. It is the play "Laughton" by Stéphane Jaubertie that is presented. We will see the "Compagnie Entre les gouttes" at the Théâtre d'Angoulême.

First step: theatrical mediation

The different classes discover the play with one of the actors. The young people discover and read excerpts then it is an exchange around vocabulary words, situations, the character of the characters …

Second step: the performance at the theater

Friday, June 10 is the big day: all sixth grade classes go to the theater to see the play "Laughton". Some explanations and then the actors enter the scene. Everyone then lets themselves be carried away by this piece that is both touching and poetic.

The communication file explains the main lines of the play: "The project here is to tell the story […] of humanity in its flaws and its light, and to make it a spectacular poem. […] Life is invented for each of the three characters, because their reality is difficult to bear."

For some students these are the first steps in the theater. Everyone knew how to appreciate this moment of pause, like a breath.
