Mr DI MEGLIO of OGHMA

At the end of May 2021, the actor Charles DI MEGLIO of the OGHMA Company meets our students of Terminale. Objective: to give them tools for the "Grand Oral". Coming to meet our sixth-graders some time before, the troupe had been a great success.

Thus high school students will learn pronunciation, body posture, the right tone (voice work) and breathing in order to "convince".

First the theory

Each one, in turn, will thus pronounce an extract from a text of Omer TALON, Harangue made to the King,of 1649. It is a question of taking into account all the instructions and declaiming: "Sire, the sittings of the Kings in their Parliament were once the actions of greatness, majesty, and ceremony".

The exercise is a little surprising at first, but the apprehensions quickly fall. Mr. DI MEGLIO illustrates each of his words by example and encourages each student by valuing the points of success. As a result, our high school students feel more comfortable even if it is appropriate to still work the expression with its own subject. Everyone leaves ready to "face" this Grand Oral.
