On June 14, 2019, 46 students from 401 and 404 set out to explore the island of Aix on a day.
The morning appointment was given at 7:30 a.m. at the cathedral. After a relatively quiet bus ride, we arrived at 10am at the Fouras pier. While waiting for the boat, the students took the opportunity to take the sea air, walk on the shells, tease some crabs or some shrimp.
Crossing and photo contests
At 11:00 a.m., it's time to board. First boat crossing for some, seasickness for others, but everyone arrived safely on the island of 1 km2.
The sun is at the rendezvous and after some explanations about the program of the day, we picnicned all together on the beach. As soon as they were satisfied, the students took the opportunity to play ball, or other improvised games. Then, some set out to discover the most beautiful corners of the island in order to participate in the photo contest and capture one of the most beautiful views.
Discovering the island…
At 2:00 p.m., we had an appointment at the tourist office to participate in the 5 or 6 team track game. We had to go to different points of the village of the island to answer questions about the history of the island, about Napoleon, the typical buildings of the village… Even with an hour and a half of play, you had to be observant and not waste time between each place, and sometimes make choices between eating an ice cream or finishing the game. After the correction, the two best teams were rewarded and were able to leave with a small memory of the island.
Already the return…
After the return boat ride, we left by bus, where the students were more awake than to go. The jury, composed of the four accompanying professors, then took the time to deliberate to determine the 3 winners of the photo contest.
1st place: Angel GEOFFROY
2nd place: Anaelle MATHÉ
3rd place: Illéna JAVIAL
Congratulations to them for their wonderful views and congratulations to the others who also participated. We arrived at 8pm at the cathedral where smiles on our faces showed the success of the day.
