As part of the\nof the "Parcours d'\u00e9ducation artistique et culturel de l'\u00e9tudiant" a\nsession around "artistic languages" for 4th grade<\/sup> classes\nand "of creation and relationship to the arts" for the latter is\nproposed February 7, 2022. These classes can thus attend the reading\ndramatized by a fantasy short story by Allan Edgar Poe: "The\nfall of the House Of Usher." Before the intervention of the artist a work\non the work is made in progress.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dramatized reading: a playful approach to English<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Salle Saint-Paul, several sessions are proposed for these levels. Sober d\u00e9cor and soundtrack accompany the reading by comedian Lucas Tsolakian ("The Performers Inc.<\/a>\u00bb). The reading is done in English, the audience is attentive.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Storytelling\nStarts. The artist is both a narrator and a character(s). We're caught\nby the plot because of the acting. English is perfect and\nIntonations literally plunge us into the heart of the house. Some passages\nare sung, adding a "musical comedy" color. So it's\na captivating and playful moment that our students live. It is then easy to enter\nin history and we grasp the\nmeaning.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Objectives largely achieved<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Objectives\nare achieved: understanding of oral messages and sound documents,\nfamiliarization with the language, memorization training. For students\nalso of second who, through the art of theater, have access to a\nartistic production that makes sense and can recognize, feel\nemotions through words expressed in another language.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At the end of the performance the actor takes the time for an exchange with the spectators. Then, the "feedback" on the piece was taken up in class with a more in-depth work on the work. For many this "Dramatized Reading" was a first experience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The story was very interesting, the actir was captivating and he was telling the story very well.It's good that Saint-Paul organises events like this.<\/p>Fran\u00e7ois, 201<\/em><\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n
