Lyc\u00e9e Saint-Paul has been participating for many years in the "eloquence contest" organized by Rotary. Last year the health situation did not allow our students to be present. This year, on the other hand, 13 young people from the second to the final year have registered. Every Thursday since September they prepare with Mr. DELAVAUD and Mrs. KRYNICKI.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It is on this theme that everyone has been thinking for several months in order to be ready on the "D" day. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

But to present oneself to the eloquence contest presupposes respecting a certain methodology: looking at the subject and understanding it in a personal way, finding ideas and arguments, thinking about the order to chain them … Then, you have to write your text by integrating style effects. Finally, last step – and not least – embody his speech (posture, gestures, breathing …). A lot of work before going before the juries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Last straight line<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

It is therefore on Saturday, January 15 that our young high school students meet at the Town Hall of Angoul\u00eame. Rotary organizes three juries and a random draw divided into each of the contestants. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

It is a question of making a 7-minute presentation by reusing the techniques acquired during the preparation times. Then the Jury interviews each candidate for about ten minutes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

When all have passed, the juries deliberate and, at the end of the morning, the results are announced. With, for this year, the following ranking:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In first place:<\/strong> Am\u00e9lie MESNIER 205, Natacha FRANCISCO 102, Pierre-louis HITIER 102.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In second place:<\/strong> Kim MCCLELLAND 205, Iban DALGALARRONDO T4 and Victoria DARTHENAY 204. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

In third place:<\/strong> Justine NAULET-RAUCA T4, Ana\u00efs HEUBERGER T4 (in visio), Alexandre GARRIDO T4.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The 3 winners will go to the regional grand final in Bordeaux on March 26th.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
