At the initiative of a few math teachers, students can improve their skills in mathematical logic, computer science and digital sciences. All in a playful way. Other initiatives continue: Mathematical Rally, <\/a>Maths in Jeans, etc.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Computer Castor Contest<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The high school’s mathematics teachers, Mrs BENA-TEAU and Mr. SIMON, as well as Mr. GRALL, are participating all their second-graders in the “Castor Informatics” competition. It takes place in St. Paul during the first week of December.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The test allows, in pairs, to discover the various aspects of computer science. According to the Ed<\/a>uscol website, it covers various aspects of computing: information and representation, algorithmic thinking, application use, data structures, logic games, computing and society<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The name of this competition is the result of a problem\ncomputational theory linked to a Turing machine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A special MATHS Advent Calendar<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

For the past four years, the math teachers BENA-TEAU and SIMON have been offering all their students an Advent calendar bas<\/a>ed on questions and puzzles from their discipline. Example: “The exact value of a 10-foot diameter disk is 100 ft. A – true; “L – false.” <\/em>Because the answer is “false,” the letter found is “L.” It will help find the final message on December 20. In the meantime, it is a matter of answering the question every day and finding the right answer to get the letter. The fastest one wins a chocolate as a bonus!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
